About the role
The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to join its Pharmacy team at the Health Sciences Centre Dialysis unit. Working under the Pharmacy Manager, you will deliver comprehensive medication services for both in‑patients and out‑patients, ensuring safe and effective pharmacotherapy.
Key responsibilities
- Provide medication dispensing, preparation, and counseling for hospital patients.
- Conduct pharmacotherapy monitoring and intervene when necessary.
- Supply drug information and education to healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate pharmacy records and comply with regulatory standards.
Required profile
- Entry‑to‑practice pharmacy degree from an accredited Canadian university (or equivalent).
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in Manitoba.
- Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is preferred.
- Completion of a hospital residency program is an asset.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including days, evenings, and weekends.
Required skills
- Proficiency with pharmacy computer systems and related software.
- Knowledge of information systems technology.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
