About the role
The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba seeks two part‑time Complaint Investigators to assist the Complaints and Investigation Department. Reporting to the department, you will investigate complaints against registrants, prepare detailed reports and support the Investigation Committee.
Key responsibilities
- Review complaints for jurisdictional, privacy and legal issues.
- Communicate with complainants, registrants and third parties to gather relevant information.
- Analyze medical records, interview stakeholders and obtain expert opinions as needed.
- Prepare comprehensive Investigator’s Reports for the Investigation Committee.
- Attend Committee meetings to provide clarification and answer questions.
Required profile
- Regulated Health Professional with a minimum of 8 years of clinical experience (or equivalent education and experience).
- Experience interpreting legislation, standards and protocols; training in complaint investigation will be provided.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Office 365 for document creation and communication.
- Experience using digital document‑management systems.
- Basic keyboarding skills and general computer proficiency.
