Skip Tracer – Collections Investigator

About the role

Commercial Credit Adjusters Ltd. is hiring a full‑time Skip Tracer to locate displaced consumers and assets for debt collection. The role combines investigative research, customer contact, and negotiation within a supportive, fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Use tools such as Facebook, 411, etc., to investigate sources that lead to the location of a displaced consumer or debtor.
• Investigate sources to locate assets on personal and/or commercial accounts.
• Document file activity in internal systems.
• Establish contact with consumers by telephone to verify findings.
• Negotiate payment of debts according to client and company guidelines.
• Advise on payment and settlement options.
• Update files to reflect activity.
• Uphold the CCA Code of Conduct, treating consumers with integrity, honesty, dignity and respect.

Required profile

• 3rd party collections or skip tracing experience considered an asset.
• Customer service and call centre experience considered an asset.
• Strong investigative skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Self‑motivated, goal‑ and detail‑oriented.
• Sound decision‑making and judgement.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Dedicated and ethical.
• Ability to work individually and in a team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Solid computer skills.
• Strong grasp of the English language.
• Ability to think creatively to reach solutions.
• Willingness to undergo a criminal record check.
