Site Superintendent – Commercial Construction

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to lead the final phases of a 3‑storey commercial building in East Vancouver. The project includes roughly 20,000 sq ft of office, community space, and a day‑care, with completion expected in Q1 2027. This role will transition into future commercial projects across Vancouver Island and Northern BC.

Key responsibilities

• Take over the project as the structure wraps up and finalize roofing and interior finishing phases.
• Lead trade contractors with detailed scheduling, coordination, and on‑site supervision.
• Manage site inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to resolve construction challenges, review purchase orders, and monitor budgets.
• Support and develop the Assistant Superintendent/CSO toward promotion.
• Prioritize safety and maintain a safe work environment on‑site.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of site experience, including at least two start‑to‑finish commercial projects as the lead Superintendent.
• Experience on commercial or mixed‑use projects valued between $20 M and $30 M.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• In‑depth knowledge of BC building codes, local challenges, and construction practices.
• Solid track record of long‑term tenure on projects from start to finish.
• Willingness to travel for future projects on Vancouver Island or Northern BC.
• Strong professional references.
