Tile Setter – Residential & Commercial Projects

About the role

AR Construction & Renovators is seeking a skilled Tile Setter to work on a variety of residential and commercial projects across Toronto. The role involves preparing surfaces, installing tiles, and ensuring high‑quality finishes while adhering to safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces before tile installation.
• Mix and apply mortar, cement, or adhesives using hand trowels.
• Set tiles, apply pressure, and align them accurately.
• Cut and fit tiles around obstacles using hand and power tools.
• Pack grout into joints, remove excess, and replace damaged tiles.
• Supervise other workers and install marble, granite, and tile strips.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 1–2 years of tile‑setting experience.
• Physically demanding work: bending, crouching, kneeling.
• Strong attention to detail, colour discrimination, and hand‑eye coordination.
• Dependable, accurate, good judgement, and a team player.
