Project Manager

About the role

As a Project Manager at Matheson Constructors you will lead assigned construction projects from pursuit through close‑out, overseeing cost, schedule, quality, safety and contractual performance while maintaining strong relationships with owners, consultants and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all phases of project delivery, including planning, execution, monitoring, controlling and close‑out.
• Manage project budgets, risk registers and schedule performance, ensuring alignment with contractual milestones.
• Oversee subcontractor tendering, contract compliance and coordination with Project Coordinators and Superintendents.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and company safety programs.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary diploma or degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field with at least five years of progressive project management experience in commercial construction.
• Professional designations such as P.Eng or LEED are considered an asset.

Required skills

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and construction plans.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
