About the role
We are seeking a Sewing Machine Operator Supervisor to lead a team of 5‑10 workers in the production of fabric, fur and leather products. The role involves coordinating activities across departments, improving productivity and ensuring high product quality.
Key responsibilities
- Co‑ordinate work activities with other departments.
- Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
- Supervise, co‑ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers.
- Operate sewing machines or sew by hand.
- Mark, cut and sew fabric.
- Maintain sewing equipment and enforce safety standards.
Required profile
- Registered Apprenticeship certificate.
- 1 to less than 2 years of relevant experience.
- Efficient interpersonal skills, organized and a team player.
- Ability to lead and motivate a small team (5‑10 people).
- Supports a welcoming environment for youth and visible minorities.
