Supervisor Mobile Maintenance - Underground

About the role

Evolution Mining is recruiting a Supervisor Mobile Maintenance for its Red Lake operation in Northwestern Ontario, which has three underground mines and two processing plants. The role leads and directs the underground mobile equipment mechanical crews, applying maintenance practices aligned with the company's maintenance strategy and production goals. It is a 14-day-on, 14-day-off (12-hour days) position, with a competitive salary range of $136,633 to $170,000 CAD, and is open to both FIFO and DIDO arrangements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the work assignments of mobile maintenance crews, set goals and control costs of maintenance activities.
• Plan, prioritize and lead daily maintenance work, coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance, and manage emergency and breakdown work.
• Work with tradespersons on maintenance procedures, verify work orders and enter data into SAP, and create new SAP work orders.
• Approve work order comments, time cards, vacation requests, accident and injury reports and disciplinary reports.
• Inspect and evaluate contractors and suppliers, validate contractor safety certificates, and review engineering and construction projects.
• Advise the scheduler on the weekly maintenance schedule, coordinate call-out service outside regular shifts, and run monthly crew safety meetings.
• Support preventive maintenance programs, continuous improvement, and design change documentation, and recommend new equipment purchases.

Required profile

• Valid driver's licence.
• High school diploma or equivalent, plus either a certified interprovincial mechanical certificate or a Mechanical Technologist / Mining Engineering / Mechanical Engineering diploma.
• Minimum 7 years of experience with industrial mobile equipment, preferably in mining.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory maintenance or operations role.
• Familiarity with underground mining equipment.

Required skills

• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and SAP.
• Aptitude for quickly learning new computer programs.
