About the role
The Service Clerk supports daily operations of the Costco Wholesale Liquor store, ensuring merchandise is well‑stocked, displayed correctly, and customers receive courteous service.
Key responsibilities
- Stock, straighten, and clean the liquor store; rotate merchandise and verify signage.
- Receive and verify deliveries, cut boxes, and handle pallets using manual or electric pallet jacks.
- Assist customers by answering phones, providing product information, checking ID, and ringing up sales.
- Maintain cash register accuracy, process payments, refunds, and perform end‑of‑shift cash counts.
- Participate in tasting sessions and product seminars to enhance product knowledge.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to obtain required provincial licences and ALGC ProServe certification.
- Preferred knowledge of fine wines and spirits.
Required skills
- Basic cash handling and point‑of‑sale operation.
- Ability to operate manual or electric pallet jacks safely.
