Senior Tax Manager – Customer Tax Operations & Reporting (FATCA/CRS)

About the role

EY is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to join its Financial Services practice in Toronto. You will lead complex tax operations, focusing on FATCA and CRS reporting, and support a diverse portfolio of corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead large and medium‑size tax consulting engagements and supervise multiple projects.
• Plan, organize, and oversee teams preparing corporate tax returns.
• Conduct and document tax research, advise on planning opportunities and compliance strategies.
• Review junior staff work for accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with team members on technical tax interpretation for clients.
• Build and maintain client relationships, understanding their business needs.
• Identify opportunities for tax planning and special services.
• Support coaching and development of junior tax professionals.

Required profile

• Professional accounting designation (CPA) or a law degree.
• Completed an In‑Depth Tax Course (or equivalent).
• Minimum 7 years of Canadian corporate tax experience.
• Strong project‑management and organizational abilities.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently.
• Experience with financial‑services clients is strongly preferred.
• Mature, proactive, highly motivated team player.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic tax research tools.
