Senior Tax Analyst

About the role

Neo is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join its Tax group in Toronto. The role will focus on income tax compliance, tax reporting, and provision activities while supporting global tax projects across Neo’s international operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare IFRS tax provisions for Canadian entities and coordinate provisions for global sites in Asia, Europe, and the United States.
• Compile the consolidated tax provision summary and related IFRS reporting, including analysis of tax reserves, valuation allowances, and undistributed earnings.
• Prepare Canadian income tax returns, information returns, and related reports.
• Assist in managing the global tax compliance process, including gathering information for U.S. tax returns and transfer pricing reports.
• Calculate quarterly transfer pricing charges for corporate support services and prepare exempt surplus calculations.
• Support global tax planning, process improvement initiatives, and ad‑hoc tax matters.
• Respond to queries from internal, external, and government auditors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Completed or pursuing a Canadian In‑Depth Tax Course or Master of Taxation program.
• Professional accounting designation in progress or completed.
• 3‑5 years of experience with accounting for income taxes under IFRS.
• Knowledge of corporate income taxation; transfer pricing, international tax, indirect tax or M&A tax is an asset.
