Senior System Administrator

About the role

The Senior System Administrator joins the Regional Technology Services team at Fairmont Royal York, reporting to the Regional Director, IT, Central Canada. You will ensure the hotel’s IT infrastructure runs smoothly, supporting both guest‑facing and back‑of‑house technology.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve colleague help‑desk tickets in line with the Service Level Agreement.
• Manage disaster‑recovery procedures and daily backup logs for the region.
• Deploy, configure and maintain employee workstations and Wi‑Fi equipment across public areas, meeting rooms and guest rooms.
• Monitor and remediate anti‑virus alerts using the Cortex XDR enterprise console.
• Maintain accurate equipment and software inventory and complete PCI compliance initiatives.
• Execute hotel‑driven IT projects under the supervision of the IT Director/SM.
• Maintain IDF and MDF installations according to ACCOR standards.
• Contribute to the Technology Services knowledge base and identify opportunities for new technology.
• Participate in 24/7 on‑call support and regional IT project activities.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent experience.
• A+ Certification.
• Minimum 3 years of system administration and networking experience.
• Microsoft Certified System Engineer (or equivalent).
• Cisco certification or equivalent networking experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Previous supervisory or training experience is an asset.
