About the role

The COVE Internship Program offers post‑secondary students a 14‑week, full‑time paid placement working on cutting‑edge projects across maritime, defence, digital, environmental and emerging technology sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to a core business project within a host organization.
• Collaborate with industry professionals, researchers and fellow students.
• Gain practical experience in technology development and commercialization.

Required profile

• Motivated, collaborative self‑starter with a proactive approach.
• Canadian citizen or permanent resident actively enrolled in a post‑secondary program.
• Team‑oriented individual eager to learn new skills.

Required skills

• Technical proficiency with software such as AutoCAD, Python, C/C++ or MATLAB.
• Project management abilities and ability to work independently.
• Maritime certifications (e.g., SVOP, Marine Basic First Aid) are an asset.
