Senior Project Manager – Construction

About the role

The Senior Project Manager will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to scope. You will work closely with subcontractors, site superintendents, and internal teams to drive project success across the Greater Toronto Area.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and implement overall project delivery, including subcontract award, scheduling, construction, and close‑out.
• Review detailed estimates, prepare subcontractor scopes, and issue contracts.
• Manage Site Superintendents and Project Coordinators to ensure contractual compliance.
• Monitor and mitigate site issues, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
• Develop, implement, and track construction schedules with the Site Superintendent and Field Operations Manager.
• Prepare and manage change order documentation.
• Oversee project documents, RFIs, and submittals with the Project Coordinator and Site Superintendent.
• Collaborate with the Operations Manager to issue monthly progress billings and update cost tracking reports.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in ICI construction within the Canadian construction sector.
• Healthcare construction experience is an asset.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time‑management and organizational abilities.
• Ability to commute daily to the head office and travel to sites across the GTA.

Required skills

• Scheduling software and Gantt chart expertise.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience using Jonas Premier Software.
• Microsoft Project proficiency.
