Mobile Maintenance Mechanic – FMO/ICI (Toronto)

About the role

Black & McDonald is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Mechanic to join its Toronto team. The role involves performing routine inspections, preventive and corrective maintenance across a variety of building systems while providing excellent service to tenants.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular property and site inspections, including HVAC, plumbing, fire and life safety equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as filter changes, belt replacements, and equipment lubrications.
• Execute corrective maintenance including gutter clean‑outs, fence repairs, brickwork, landscaping and general site upkeep.
• Maintain fire panels, pumps and other safety systems, resetting or bypassing as required.
• Respond to tenant requests for temperature adjustments, lighting changes, minor repairs and furniture relocation.
• Support business initiatives such as audit preparation, communication board updates and new equipment roll‑out.

Required profile

• High School Diploma; Building Environment System Certificate or trade licence is an asset.
• 1–3 years of experience maintaining complex building systems, with required HVAC experience and familiarity with building automation systems (BAS).
• Valid Ontario G driver’s licence and ability to travel within the GTA.
• Ability to lift up to 30 kg and obtain reliability or secret security clearance.
