Low‑Rise Site Superintendent – Residential Construction

About the role

We are looking for a qualified and motivated Low‑Rise Site Superintendent to join our Vaughan‑based team at Poetry Living. The successful candidate will oversee the full construction lifecycle of single‑family homes, from excavation through to the 30‑day warranty sign‑off, ensuring quality, safety and schedule adherence across the Greater Toronto Area.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily construction activities, monitoring trade performance, workmanship quality and timely completion.
• Conduct daily walk‑throughs of homes to identify imperfections, verify building‑code compliance and confirm purchaser options and extras.
• Perform detailed frame checks prior to drywall and coordinate homeowner frame walks.
• Supervise on‑site staff, schedule contractors, subcontractors, municipal inspectors and suppliers.
• Resolve day‑to‑day construction issues, issue purchase orders and assist in material ordering.
• Maintain and update the production schedule in the ERP system each day.
• Schedule and attend municipal inspections, assist inspectors and rectify any deficiencies.
• Mentor and train staff on safety, quality standards and schedule adherence.

Required profile

• Proven experience in both rough‑in and finishing works on residential projects.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, construction processes and quality standards.
• Ability to supervise crews, manage subcontractors and coordinate multiple trades.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with an ERP system for scheduling and reporting.
