Junior Project Manager – Steel Projects

About the role

Surespan Structures is looking for a Junior Project Manager to support steel‑fabrication projects across Canada. This mentored position offers hands‑on experience from award through completion, allowing a new professional to contribute directly to high‑profile infrastructure delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead projects from award to completion, ensuring scope, schedule and budget alignment.
• Coordinate procurement, material delivery and change‑order pricing.
• Manage submittals, RFIs, RFQs and shop‑drawing processes.
• Maintain document control, contracts, subcontracts and project correspondence.
• Support estimating activities, including quantity take‑offs and scope reviews.
• Build and sustain relationships with clients, consultants and suppliers.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or early‑career professional eager to manage projects.
• Results‑driven and comfortable working in a collaborative environment.
• Willingness to learn under the guidance of senior project managers.

Required skills

• Project management fundamentals.
• Estimating and quantity take‑off techniques.
• Document control and contract administration.
