Senior Information Security Engineer

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer to strengthen its security operations across North America. The role will involve protecting digital payment systems, responding to incidents, and driving continuous improvement of security controls in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a senior member of the Information Security Operations team, collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.
• Maintain and improve security services, including incident, vulnerability, and threat management.
• Perform internal vulnerability scans, user access reviews, configuration hardening, and automate tasks within the SIEM.
• Document risk assessments, policy updates, and support audits and assessments.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and respond to security incidents, escalating when necessary.
• Evaluate and recommend tools to enhance security operations.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in Linux and network technology administration and troubleshooting.
• Strong background in PKI, key management, and identity & access management.
• Proven ability to work independently and influence security objectives across diverse teams.
