Data Analyst – Creative Destruction Lab

About the role

The Data Analyst will support the Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) at UBC Sauder by turning raw data from Salesforce, Airtable and Google Drive into actionable insights. The role reports to the CDL Senior Project Manager and works closely with leadership, operations, partnerships and venture management teams.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, clean, analyze and interpret complex datasets to produce statistical reports and KPI dashboards.
• Design, develop and automate reporting tools, visualisations and data‑flow processes across Salesforce, Airtable and Google Drive.
• Maintain data quality, conduct benchmarking research and recommend process improvements.
• Provide technical documentation, training and ongoing support for data‑management tools.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline with at least two years of related experience.

• Strong analytical, strategic thinking and attention‑to‑detail.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets functions (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, PowerPivot, etc.).
• Proficiency with Salesforce and Airtable (including scripting extensions).
• Experience in data cleaning, mapping, manipulation and statistical analysis.
• Intermediate coding skills for automation (e.g., Airtable scripting).
• Familiarity with data‑visualisation tools such as Airtable Interfaces and Salesforce Dashboards.
