Data Engineer II – Full Stack & AI Enablement

About the role

Ethoca, a Mastercard company, is looking for a Data Engineer II to design and deliver scalable data, analytics, and AI‑ready solutions across both on‑premise and cloud environments. You will join a small, agile team that builds resilient, secure, and intelligent platforms supporting a fast‑growing fintech marketplace.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines, streaming and batch data flows, and data warehousing solutions.
• Design and implement full‑stack applications, including front‑end experiences, back‑end services, APIs, and reusable data services.
• Create AI‑ready data pipelines and intelligent features for machine learning, generative AI, semantic search, and retrieval‑augmented generation use cases.
• Work with SAP HANA and Snowflake environments, focusing on configuration, security, performance, governance, and production readiness.
• Debug, optimize, automate, and troubleshoot data, application, API, and cloud/on‑premise issues.
• Support CI/CD, testing, deployment, and migration activities while minimizing service impact.
• Partner with architects, analysts, data engineers, application teams, and business stakeholders to deliver agile, data‑driven solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, software engineering, data engineering, mathematics, or a related technical field.
• Strong analytical problem‑solving abilities and experience with software engineering best practices.
• Experience working in collaborative, cross‑functional teams within a fast‑paced environment.
