Senior Business Consultant – Power BI & Capital Markets

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Business Consultant to join a large‑scale Capital Markets transformation initiative in Toronto. The role blends business analysis with technology, focusing on gathering requirements, designing reporting solutions, and delivering executive‑level Power BI dashboards that support regulatory and operational objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to capture and document reporting requirements.
• Lead analysis sessions and translate needs into technical specifications and data solutions.
• Produce Business Requirements Documents, process flows, and related project artefacts.
• Collaborate with technology teams to design, test, and implement reporting datasets.
• Validate data accuracy and ensure integrity of all reports.
• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards that highlight trends, KPIs, and operational metrics.
• Support project planning, testing, issue resolution, and stakeholder communication.
• Identify opportunities for automation and continuous process improvement.

Required profile

• University degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Analytics or a related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in business analysis, consulting, reporting, analytics, or project delivery.
• Proven ability to gather and document business requirements and translate them into reporting solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.

• Advanced Power BI development.
• SQL proficiency.
