Senior Business Analyst – Legal Operations (Fixed-Term)

About the role

British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI) is seeking a Senior Business Analyst for its Legal Operations team. Based in the Victoria office, you will lead automation initiatives and deliver technology solutions that modernise how Legal Affairs works. This is a two‑year fixed‑term position offering a competitive total rewards package.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex automation and technology projects that support Legal Affairs’ strategic objectives.
• Act as the bridge between legal, business, and technology teams, guiding work from requirements gathering through implementation.
• Design and implement solutions that improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and deliver measurable value.
• Collaborate with the Chief Legal Officer, legal professionals, and broader stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain alignment with BCI’s legal technology ecosystem and ESG‑focused investment approach.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in a project environment or business transformation role.
• 3+ years of experience leading automation or technology initiatives, preferably within a legal or financial services context.
• Strong independent work ethic combined with excellent collaboration skills.
