About the role
JFK Law LLP is seeking a motivated law student to join its Victoria office for the summer of 2027. The position supports Associates in representing First Nations clients on Aboriginal law matters, providing hands‑on experience in litigation and regulatory work.
Key responsibilities
- Assist Associates with client meetings, legal research, and drafting of documents such as pleadings, affidavits, and correspondence.
- Manage day‑to‑day file administration for Aboriginal and Treaty Rights cases.
- Participate in motions, trials, and administrative proceedings, including trial preparation.
- Support litigation involving constitutional and administrative law.
Required profile
- Completion of the second year of law school before the start date.
- Strong analytical, interpretive, research and drafting abilities.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively in a team environment.
