Senior Associate, Financial Services Risk and Regulatory Advisory

About the role

PwC Canada is hiring a Senior Associate for its Financial Services Risk and Regulatory Advisory practice in Toronto. The team advises leading financial institutions on the full spectrum of financial and non-financial risks, from operational resilience and third-party risk to credit risk and emerging areas such as technology and GenAI risks. The role follows the departure of a valued team member and offers a salary range of $65,600 - $109,300.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance client deliverables across financial and non-financial risk dimensions, aligned with evolving regulatory expectations
• Help design and deliver risk management solutions that support broader business objectives
• Facilitate client workshops and collaborative sessions, communicating complex regulatory and risk concepts clearly
• Support business development through proposal writing, marketing initiatives and thought leadership
• Take part in industry forums, client presentations and the publication of research and viewpoints
• Complete targeted training on risk and regulatory standards, technology and GenAI, and sector knowledge

Required profile

• Professional experience in banks, insurance companies, asset management, private equity, credit unions or financial crown corporations
• Consulting, industry or regulatory background with strong knowledge of regulatory requirements for non-financial and financial risks
• Experience managing senior-level client relationships and working in diverse project teams
• Ability to quickly learn and apply emerging technologies such as resilience tools and Generative AI
• Capacity to support conclusions with logical reasoning, recommend to senior stakeholders and lead compliance program design and implementation
