Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to lead day‑to‑day accounting operations across our fast‑casual restaurant and franchising entities in Canada and the United States. The role will own full‑cycle accounting, payroll, tax compliance and financial reporting to ensure accurate and timely financial information for the business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle accounting for multiple restaurant, franchising and corporate entities.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, variance analysis and supporting notes.
• Execute month‑end and quarter‑end close processes, including journal entries, accruals and intercompany reconciliations.
• Support year‑end audit with a Big 4 firm by preparing work papers and responding to queries.
• Oversee full‑cycle payroll for all entities, remit statutory contributions and issue required tax forms.
• Calculate and file GST/HST, assist with income tax payable and prepare transfer‑pricing schedules.
• Process vendor invoices, perform credit‑card and expense reconciliations, and maintain the general ledger.

Required profile

• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in restaurant, retail, franchise or multi‑entity environments.
• Strong knowledge of full‑cycle accounting, payroll and month‑end financial statement preparation.
• Ability to manage multiple entities and priorities in a fast‑paced setting.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong Excel proficiency.
