Senior Accountant (Hybrid – Collingwood/Thornbury)

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Senior Accountant to join our Collingwood office on a hybrid schedule (minimum two days per week on‑site in Collingwood or Thornbury). The role reports to the Senior Manager and offers immediate start for a professional who values accountability, excellence, and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Compile and review client information, prepare working papers and year‑end planning.
• Supervise engagements and tax filings within a paperless environment.
• Lead assurance engagements with teams of 1‑4 members.
• Identify and resolve engagement issues, mentor junior staff.
• Prepare compilation and review reports, personal tax returns, and ensure client satisfaction.
• Identify new service or tax‑planning opportunities for clients.

Required profile

• College or university degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
• 3‑4 years of experience in public accounting or a similar finance role.
• CPA designation or progress toward CPA is a strong asset.
• Experience managing large engagements and a tech‑savvy mindset.
