Senior Accountant – Finance & Reporting

About the role

The Senior Accountant will own the full‑cycle accounting for FIKA’s retail operations and store support centres. Reporting to the Finance & Retail Optimization Manager, you will ensure accurate, timely financial information to support weekly and monthly close processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead retail operations accounting, monthly close and financial reporting, including management analysis.
• Prepare balance‑sheet reconciliations and store/department period reporting.
• Assist accounts payable with invoice coding reviews for assigned departments.
• Develop working papers for internal monthly reports and for quarterly/annual audits.
• Maintain internal controls compliance for assigned accounting activities.
• Participate in finance‑related special projects and provide ad‑hoc analysis.
• Prepare input tax remittances and liaise with tax authorities.
• Support accounting integration for acquisitions and other transactions.

Required profile

• Proven experience preparing and presenting monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packages.
• Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to represent the accounting function with authority across operations, construction, design and merchandising.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Comfortable handling large data volumes in a fast‑changing environment.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas).
