About the role
Join Vancouver Coastal Health as a Secretary providing essential administrative support in a client‑ and family‑centered care environment. You will be the first point of contact for visitors and residents, ensuring smooth daily operations at Richmond Lions Manor.
Key responsibilities
- Greet and direct visitors, answer and prioritize telephone calls, and provide or redirect information as needed.
- Arrange meetings, distribute agenda packages, attend designated meetings, take minutes and follow up on action items.
- Type technical and non‑technical documents using word‑processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
- Compile statistics, generate computerized and manual reports, and prepare orientation packages for new employees.
- Maintain equipment and stationery supplies, establish and manage filing systems.
Required profile
- Grade 12 education plus at least two years of recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Ability to keyboard at a minimum of 45 words per minute.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills and the physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Organizational capability and proficiency in operating related office equipment.
