About the role
The Health Employers Association of British Columbia (HEABC) is seeking a dedicated Receptionist for a 12‑month fixed‑term position. Working full‑time in the office, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, staff and partner groups, supporting a busy front‑desk environment.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for visitors, staff and partner groups.
- Operate a 21‑line PRI telephone switchboard, screen calls and relay messages.
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, photocopying and scanning.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, receive packages and greet guests.
- Maintain and support an 11‑room meeting facility, providing orientation and software training for new staff.
- Coordinate catering orders, verify completeness and ensure accurate billing.
Required profile
- Successful completion of Grade 12 (high school diploma).
- Three to five years of recent related front‑desk or administrative experience.
- Proficient written and spoken English.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, maintain confidentiality and stay calm under pressure.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and a customer‑service orientation.
