Seasonal Geotechnical & Materials Technician/Technologist

About the role

We are seeking seasonal Geotechnical & Materials Technicians/Technologists to join our fast‑paced team in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. The role involves field and laboratory testing of concrete, soil and asphalt, supporting engineers on a variety of infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform QA/QC field testing and inspection of concrete, soil, and asphalt.
• Conduct field reviews of civil construction works.
• Carry out laboratory testing on soils, rock, concrete, and asphalt materials.
• Assist with geotechnical investigations, including sampling from boreholes and test pits.
• Interface with clients to communicate laboratory and field test results.

Required profile

• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology preferred; recent civil engineering graduates considered.
• No prior experience required; experience with QA/QC testing or construction inspection is an asset.
• Eligibility for registration with TechNova or NBSCETT is a plus.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation for site visits.
