Structural Bridge Drafting Technologist

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Structural Bridge Drafting Technologist to join our bridge design team in Atlantic Canada. You will produce high‑quality construction drawings for new and rehabilitated bridge projects that have a significant community impact.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed structural engineering documents for steel, concrete, masonry and timber bridges using AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to refine design concepts, perform calculations and prepare tender documents.
• Assist in field investigations, bridge condition assessments and construction inspections to inform design work.
• Contribute to bridge inspection reports, project specifications and proposals, and create workflow tools to improve team efficiency.

Required profile

• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum three years of experience in structural drafting with strong understanding of engineering drawings.
• Proactive learner who stays current with industry standards and software.
• Effective communicator with strong written and verbal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Experience with Infraworks.
