Seasonal Customer Experience Representative

About the role

Indigo is hiring a seasonal Customer Experience Representative for a store in Markham. This is a part-time, fixed-term position supporting the daily operations of the store before or after it closes (5 AM or 10 PM start time). The role helps create an authentic employee and customer experience, connects customers to the brand through stories, and follows Indigo's guiding principles of being customer centric, data driven and human-centred.

Key responsibilities

• Support the daily operations of the store, before or after closing
• Conduct inventory cycle counts, replenish stock, manage product returns, shelve products and receive and process incoming merchandise
• Create a visually appealing store using merchandising standards and a warm, welcoming environment
• Engage customers on the floor, curate product collections for each customer and use the product to tell stories
• Stay informed about new products, promotions and programs
• Respond to customer feedback in a timely way and take accountability for it
• Participate in maintaining health and safety on the floor and share ideas with leadership to improve the employee and customer experience

Required profile

• Experience in specialty retail or a retail environment preferred but not required
• Adaptability, flexibility and willingness to learn and be exposed to all aspects of the store
• Commitment to creating an exceptional employee and customer experience
• Bilingualism (French/English) is required for all positions in Québec; other languages are an asset

Required skills

• Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods
• Ability to lift medium to large items, up to 40 pounds, using appropriate equipment and safety techniques
• Availability for a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, overnights and early mornings when required
