School Psychologist

About the role

The Manitoba First Nations Education Resource Centre is seeking a qualified psychologist to work within school settings. This permanent, full‑time position is based in Winnipeg and involves delivering psychological services to students, staff and community partners. The role combines program evaluation, intervention planning and consultation for government and other organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct program evaluations.
• Apply psychological theory and principles regarding behaviour and mental processes.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Plan and implement intervention programs.
• Provide consultation services to government and other organisations.
• Offer mediation, conciliation and arbitration services.
• Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities and organisations.
• Utilise artificial intelligence tools where appropriate.

Required profile

• Master's degree in psychology.
• Provincial or territorial Psychologist's Certificate of Registration.
• Membership in a provincial or territorial psychological association.
• Dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent written communication, sound judgement and strong values and ethics.
• Criminal record check.
• Experience in school or educational settings is an asset.
