Room Attendant – Housekeeping & Laundry Support

About the role

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Room Attendant to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, families, and staff at its Vancouver, BC community. This full‑time position combines housekeeping and laundry duties while upholding the organization’s resident‑centered care standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping tasks in resident suites, common areas and offices, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting and sanitising surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms, sinks, showers and glass surfaces.
• Knock and respect resident privacy before entering rooms.
• Collect trash and manage clean and soiled linens according to protocol.
• Sort, wash, dry, fold and distribute community laundry; inspect linens for wear.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in a safe, orderly condition.
• Follow infection‑control, OSHA and safety procedures at all times.
• Assist residents with basic needs and communicate updates to supervisors.
• Participate in team meetings and engagement initiatives.
