Live-in Caregiver for Persons with Disabilities

About the role

Provide live‑in personal care and support to individuals with disabilities in a private home setting, ensuring their health, safety and well‑being.

Key responsibilities

• Care for pets
• Administer bedside and personal care
• Administer medications
• Assist with bathing and personal hygiene
• Assist in regular exercise such as walking
• Change non‑sterile dressings
• Collect specimens
• Feed or assist in feeding
• Launder clothing and household linens
• Mend clothing and linens
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Provide companionship
• Shop for food and household supplies
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals
• Cook
• Weigh, lift, turn and position patients

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years experience in personal support or health‑care aide roles
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Health Care Aide and Personal Support Worker certificates
• Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting 45‑60 kg
• Willingness to undergo a criminal record check
• Flexible availability for evenings, nights, weekends and on‑call work
