About the role

The Home Support Worker provides essential personal care and household assistance to clients in their own homes. This full-time, term-based position supports individuals with daily living activities, promotes independence, and ensures a safe, comfortable environment. The role also involves adapting to the client’s accessibility needs, such as using ramps or assistive devices.

Key responsibilities

• Administer medications and monitor health‑related needs.
• Assist clients with bathing, personal hygiene, dressing, and toileting.
• Support regular exercise such as walking and mobility routines.
• Prepare, serve, and plan nutritious meals and therapeutic diets.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and clothing repairs.
• Shop for food and household supplies and maintain a clean living space.
• Provide companionship, emotional support, and encourage social interaction.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
• 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant home‑care experience.
• Strong punctuality, reliability, and dependability.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, patience, and honesty.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and follow safety protocols, including a criminal record check.
