About the role
The Home Support Worker provides compassionate personal care and assistance to elderly clients in their homes. This full‑time, permanent position may include optional live‑in accommodation, though it is not a condition of employment.
Key responsibilities
- Administer bedside and personal care, including bathing, hygiene, and feeding assistance.
- Assist clients with water activities, regular exercise such as walking, and therapeutic diet planning.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and perform light housekeeping duties.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote well‑being.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience.
- Criminal record check clearance.
- Physical ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Personal qualities: flexibility, initiative, good judgement, organization, reliability, teamwork, patience, honesty.
Required skills
- Current CPR certification.
- Current First Aid certification.
