Quotation Engineer – Electrical Systems

About the role
As a Quotation Engineer you will prepare accurate and timely quotations for electrical systems and equipment, supporting the sales process from RFQ review to bid submission. You will work closely with customers, suppliers and internal engineering teams to ensure proposals are technically sound and commercially competitive.
Key responsibilities
- Review RFQ documents to understand customer requirements and pricing factors.
- Prepare competitive and detailed quotations and bid packages.
- Communicate with customers and suppliers to clarify technical and commercial requirements.
- Respond to customer inquiries promptly and support the quotation process.
- Prepare technical documentation in line with project specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering and technical departments to ensure feasibility.
- Conduct site visits for project evaluation and scope verification when required.
- Maintain organized records of quotations, revisions and follow‑up activities.
Required profile
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quotation Engineer (preferred).
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Required skills
- Knowledge of high, medium and low‑voltage electrical distribution systems and transformers.
- Working knowledge of low‑voltage control systems.
- Understanding of protection, control, metering and substation engineering up to 145 kV.
- Familiarity with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) – strong asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Drive).
- Data entry and spreadsheet management.
- Drafting and technical drawing software.
