Property Manager

About the role

The Property Manager will oversee a diverse portfolio of commercial and residential real estate for a social‑purpose developer. You will ensure buildings operate smoothly, maintain high standards of condition and compliance, and support the organization’s mission of creating inclusive communities.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of commercial and residential properties.
• Conduct regular site inspections and coordinate trades and service contractors to maintain building components and equipment.
• Manage operating budgets, invoicing, forecasting and arrears collections.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, regulatory and code standards.
• Lead third‑party service providers and monitor performance.
• Develop and execute marketing strategies for residential units.
• Respond to emergencies, manage claims and incidents.
• Support continuous improvement of processes, best practices and internal systems.

Required profile

• Hands‑on property professional with a strong sense of ownership.
• Ability to balance operational demands with financial oversight and compliance.
• Excellent communicator who builds relationships with residents, contractors and internal teams.
• Proactive problem‑solver comfortable working in a changing environment.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays and participate in an after‑hours rotation.
• Readiness to travel across the portfolio for inspections and meetings.

Required skills

• Experience with Yardi Voyager property management system.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Familiarity with property‑management reporting tools and digital communication platforms.
