Building Manager - High-Rise Residential

About the role

Cleantech Service Group is looking for a Building Manager for a high-rise residential building with 233 units in Vancouver. This is a full-time position where the Building Manager acts as the main link between residents, the strata council and the property manager, and oversees cleaning, maintenance and daily operations. The shift runs 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, 8 hours a day, starting on November 4.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the site and perform minor handyman repairs.
• Monitor and maintain the garbage and recycling room.
• Provide basic security duties, check doors, report suspicious activity, hold keys, handle alarms, program fobs and enterphones.
• Call trades for elevator malfunctions, floods, plumbing issues or emergencies involving police, fire or ambulance.
• Coordinate and log move-in/move-out bookings, collect damage deposits and carry out pre- and post-move inspections with residents.
• Handle administrative tasks such as posting notices, collecting funds for extra fobs and keys, submitting activity reports and caretaker reports to the Property Manager.
• Monitor parking violations and improper use of parking areas.
• Respond promptly to resident questions, noise and smoking complaints, and report concerns about residents to the Property Manager.

Required profile

• Proven experience in facility management, preferably in residential settings (2 years preferred).
• Reliable, punctual, with a keen eye for detail and strong customer service experience.
• Ability to take the lead, work independently with minimal supervision and deal with residents professionally and positively.
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Occasional use of equipment such as leaf blowers and pressure washers (training provided).
