Building Manager

About the role

The Building Manager is responsible for the overall day‑to‑day management, operation, and administration of assigned housing co‑operative communities. Acting as the primary on‑site representative of the Community Land Trust, the role supports residents, Boards of Directors, and contractors to ensure safe, well‑maintained, and financially sustainable communities.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operation and administration of assigned housing co‑operatives.
• Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds and common areas to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Coordinate maintenance requests, obtain contractor quotations, and oversee work completion.
• Respond to resident inquiries, resolve conflicts, and maintain accurate member and property records.
• Support budgeting, invoice processing, arrears management and financial reporting.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience managing multi‑unit residential or housing community properties.
• Education in Business Administration, Real Estate Management, Property Management or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of building maintenance, project coordination and contractor management.
• Excellent customer service, communication and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Basic bookkeeping and financial administration experience.

What we offer

• Salary range $69,500 – $73,500 per year.

• Full‑time permanent position (40 hrs/week) with on‑site work across the Lower Mainland.
