About the role
As a Project Manager II in Powell's Electrical Division in Montreal, you will lead complex switchgear and E‑house manufacturing projects from concept through retirement. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality and customer expectations.
Key responsibilities
- Provide consultation during proposal development and drive a positive customer experience throughout execution.
- Develop, maintain, and align project schedules with internal teams and contractual commitments.
- Manage project scope, cost, schedule, and quality, proactively handling changes and risks.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the customer and Powell, handling all communications.
- Oversee project financials, including revenue, cost budgets, forecasts, and P&L objectives.
- Lead project meetings, prepare progress reports, and ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Mentor and supervise Project Management Associates and Administrators.
Required profile
- Proven experience in managing engineering or manufacturing projects.
- Strong understanding of contract and commercial management.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi‑organizational environment.
- Excellent decision‑making and communication skills.
