Senior Power Electronics Engineer

About the role

dcbel is seeking a self‑motivated Senior Power Electronics Engineer to design and develop power electronics for its residential energy solutions, including the dcbel Ara Home Energy Station.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build hardware of power electronics converters for use in dcbel products.
• Take end‑to‑end ownership of hardware—from specification, design, prototype, reliability validation to high‑volume manufacturing.
• Collaborate with electronics, mechanical, and firmware teams to design, validate, and manufacture power converters.
• Support certification processes by assisting testing and providing corrective solutions.

Required skills

• 8+ years hands‑on experience in power converter design (AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC).
• Selection and design of high‑bandwidth power semiconductors (Si/SiC/GaN MOSFETs), gate‑drive and protection circuits.
• Knowledge of UL/CE safety and EMC certification requirements.
• Analog/digital circuit and micro‑processor design.
• PCB layout expertise for low stray inductance/capacitance, manufacturability, and EMC optimization.
• Thermal design and magnetics (inductors, transformers) expertise.
• Proficiency with Altium Designer.
• Experience using laboratory instruments such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and signal generators.
