Production Supervisor – Manufacturing Operations Lead

About the role
dcbel is seeking a hands‑on Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations at its New Product Introduction (NPI) facility. The role oversees assembly, testing and packaging of energy‑hardware products, ensuring safety, quality, cost efficiency and delivery performance.
Key responsibilities
- Lead daily production operations including assembly, testing, final inspection, packaging and shipment preparation.
- Execute production plans and coordinate resources across Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Logistics and Engineering.
- Build, develop and supervise a high‑performing manufacturing team.
- Drive production ramp‑up activities, identify bottlenecks and support capacity planning.
- Oversee testing and validation activities such as HiPot, functional testing, burn‑in and final product release.
- Monitor and improve manufacturing metrics (FPY, defect rates, throughput, NCRs) and implement corrective actions.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives (5S, Kaizen, standard work, poka‑yoke).
- Maintain accurate manufacturing documentation, BOMs, SOPs and traceability requirements.
Required profile
- Hands‑on leader with strong presence on the production floor.
- Results‑driven with high sense of ownership and accountability.
- Excellent communication and collaboration across operations, engineering, quality and supply chain.
- Bilingual in English and French.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities supported by data‑driven decision making.
Required skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years supervising manufacturing teams.
- At least 2 years in electronic/electrical/electromechanical manufacturing.
- Experience with production ramp‑ups, NPI programs and Lean Manufacturing (5S, Kaizen, kanban).
- Understanding of manufacturing KPIs and performance management.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (Business Central experience is an asset).
- Ability to read BOMs, ECOs, manufacturing drawings, work instructions and quality specifications.
