Private Cross Border Senior Manager (Tax)

About the role

PwC Private Cross Border is looking for a Senior Manager in its Entrepreneurial & Private Business (EPB) Private Clients line of service, based in Toronto. The role sits in the Tax industry and focuses on advising private companies, entrepreneurs and high net worth individuals on cross-border tax matters, including wealth management, compliance, cash flow management, equity expansion, divestiture and exit strategies. The salary range is $118,600 - $197,600.

Key responsibilities

• Help private clients with audit, tax compliance and planning to improve operational efficiency and free up time for business strategy.
• Work with the team to design and implement personalised service plans for privately owned entities, entrepreneurs and high net worth individuals.
• Assist the team on key issues such as wealth management, compliance, cash flow management, equity expansion, divestiture and exit strategies.
• Lead open conversations with teams, clients and stakeholders to build trust and anticipate stakeholder needs.
• Navigate the complexities of cross-border and diverse teams and engagements.
• Manage, develop, retain and mentor junior tax professionals.

Required profile

• Experience in cross-border Canadian and US individual tax, including advising US beneficiaries of foreign trusts and US owners of foreign corporations.
• Minimum 5 years of experience delivering US tax consulting and compliance services.
• CPA, CA, EA or another relevant professional designation.
• Master's degree in Tax, or completion of Levels I, II and III of the CPA In-depth Tax Course (an asset).
• Commitment to valuing differences and coaching diverse teams.
