President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

About the role

The President & Chief Executive Officer will lead Riverside Health Care, a multi‑site health system serving the Rainy River District in Northwestern Ontario. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO provides visionary leadership during a period of growth, transformation, and increasing service demand.

Key responsibilities

• Set and execute a strategic vision that aligns all sites, services, and teams under a "One Riverside" culture.
• Strengthen regional partnerships with First Nations, Ontario Health, the Ministry of Health, municipal leaders, physicians, donors and community stakeholders.
• Advocate for capital investment, secure resources, and ensure financial sustainability.
• Oversee operational excellence, quality of care, and workforce development across Fort Frances, Emo, Rainy River and other locations.
• Represent Riverside as the primary ambassador to external partners and the public.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in a complex health‑care organization.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through change, balance operational performance with strategic vision, and inspire confidence.
• Strong integrity, sound judgment, and a collaborative, values‑driven approach.
• Experience building trusted relationships with Indigenous communities and government health agencies.
