About the role
The Laboratory of Professor Jan D. Lünemann at the Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health seeks a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to develop human experimental models for studying autoimmune and inflammatory diseases of the central nervous system.
Key responsibilities
- Design and generate human induced pluripotent stem cell (hiPSC)‑derived brain organoids.
- Apply genome‑engineering tools (e.g., CRISPR) to create disease‑relevant models.
- Perform advanced imaging, spectral flow cytometry, and high‑throughput multi‑omics assays.
- Analyze single‑cell and spatial genomics, proteomics, and other omics data using computational pipelines.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in neuroimmunology, stem‑cell biology, biomedical engineering, and AI‑driven precision medicine.
Required profile
- PhD in neuroscience, immunology, stem‑cell biology, or a related field.
- Strong track record of independent research and scientific curiosity.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary, collaborative environments.
Required skills
- Human induced pluripotent stem cell (hiPSC) technology.
- Brain organoid culture.
- Genome engineering (CRISPR/Cas9).
- Advanced microscopy and imaging.
- Spectral flow cytometry.
- Single‑cell RNA‑sequencing and spatial genomics.
