About the role
Royal Drugs is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join its sterile compounding facility in Calgary. The role supports patients receiving at‑home infusion therapy, advanced wound care, and other community‑based medical supplies. You will work in a fast‑paced, patient‑focused environment with a commitment to safety and quality.
Key responsibilities
- Review, verify, and dispense prescriptions in compliance with provincial and federal regulations.
- Perform clinical reviews of compounded and non‑compounded prescriptions.
- Provide patient counseling and education on medication use.
- Conduct sterile compounding and ensure aseptic technique.
- Supervise pharmacy operations and support staff development.
- Maintain workflow efficiency, quality assurance, and patient safety.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Current registration as a Pharmacist in Alberta.
- Experience in sterile compounding and clinical pharmacy practice.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and on‑call after‑hours.
- Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes based on business needs.
