Software Engineer – Ultrasound Platform

About the role

Join Sonus Microsystems to develop software that powers a next‑generation ultrasound platform, directly influencing patient monitoring and clinical workflows. You will work at the intersection of software, hardware, imaging, and AI to bring groundbreaking medical technology to market.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, verify, and integrate software for the next‑generation ultrasound platform.
• Collaborate with systems, hardware, and R&D teams to define software architecture and module specifications.
• Implement imaging, visualization, cloud connectivity, and integration with external algorithms and services.
• Support R&D characterization, data management, and end‑to‑end system functionality.
• Apply structured development practices including risk management, cybersecurity, reliability and maintainability.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience developing software that integrates with hardware systems.
• Strong background in C/C++ and Python development.
• Experience creating GUIs and 2D/3D rendering applications.

Required skills

• C and C++ programming.
