Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) – Retirement Facilities

About the role

RhynoCare is looking for an experienced Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to provide compassionate care in retirement facilities in Sudbury, Ontario. You will work as an independent contractor, delivering high‑quality nursing services to residents.

Key responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent nursing and personal care in line with CNO standards, physician orders and resident care plans.
• Support residents’ physical, psychological, emotional, cultural and social needs using evidence‑informed decision making.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers and discharges, ensuring clear communication with residents, families and the healthcare team.
• Administer, control and safeguard all medications, including narcotics, complying with legislative and organizational requirements.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, offering leadership and guidance to PSWs and other staff.

Required profile

• Current active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work 8‑ or 12‑hour shifts and adapt to different units as staffing needs change.
• Reliability and commitment to scheduled shifts in accordance with RhynoCare’s attendance policy.
